Combining the functionality and durability of a synthetic fiber with the comfort and sustainability of a natural fiber, triacetate has been gaining popularity across the fashion industry.

WHAT IS TRIACETATE?

WHAT IS TRIACETATE?

Triacetate is a semi-synthetic fiber made by chemically combining cellulose (a fiber element) and acetic acid, which is made from wood pulp.
Since triacetate is a plant-derived fiber that biodegrades when left in nature, it is attracting attention as an environmentally friendly fiber.
Compared to cotton, rayon, and cupro, triacetate is lighter and has a fluffy, wool-like texture.
It also has a silky luster and feel, and excellent coloration. It has moderate moisture absorption, heat retention, and elasticity, and is suitable for pleating.

WE VALUE YOUR HEALTH

WE VALUE YOUR HEALTH

  • The overall appearance of triacetic acid is very similar to that of mulberry silk. The fabric is moisture-absorbing and breathable without sweating, and has a certain anti-static ability. It is very comfortable to wear and will not irritate the skin.
  • It has a cool feeling when worn, because its fabric is moisture-absorbing and breathable, does not stick to sweat, is easy to wash and dry, and is comfortable on the skin.
  • The fabric has a soft feel and a little elasticity. It has the same specific gravity as silk, so the drape is also the same as mulberry silk.
  • It has the properties of non-mildew and anti-moth, which is not available in other natural fibers, and the fabric is easy to dry after washing.
  • With good thermoplasticity and colorability, it can be used to make high-end clothing without worrying about its deformation and fading.

WE DO CARE MOTHER EARTH

WE DO CARE MOTHER EARTH

It's a more sustainable fabric than most all-synthetic fibers because the base material from which triacetate is formed is wood pulp from natural trees.
Mitsubishi Chemical, a major manufacturer of triacetate, has a full program focused on using sustainable methods to produce their Soalon™ fiber. They are already working to close the loop in the triacetate production process by reusing the solvent and recycling defective yarn back to the beginning of the process.

Customers who purchase LUVHOME's Triacetate products can rest assured that your fashion choices will not adversely impact the environment.

We do our best to create a virtuous cycle of triacetate - good for everyone, including our users, brands, factories and nature. We call it a virtuous circle.

LUVHOME'S TRIACETATE PRODUCT

  • Wrinkle-resistant: Triacetate maintains its shape well and is very resistant to wrinkling, making it perfect for everyday wear and travel clothing.
  • Silk-like luster: Since acetate and triacetate were formed as an alternative to expensive natural silk, they both have a beautiful luster and silky feel, lending to a luxurious look.
  • Holds dye well: When dyed with heat, triacetate holds dye well. This helps to make a variety of rich, deep colors available.
  • Beautiful drape: Triacetate has a gorgeous, silk-like drape, making it perfect for drapey blouses and eveningwear.

Is triacetate fabric machine washable?

Is triacetate fabric machine washable?

Yes! Our triacetate garments can be machine washed. Here are the wash tips:

    • We recommend skipping fabric softener. Why? It's not great for the finish of the fabric, and sometimes deposits a waxy residue on fabric that can cause discoloration, strange spots, or change in texture.
    • Be sure to always wash your triacetate garments in cold water and on gentle cycle.
    • Use a mild (preferably biodegradable) detergent to avoid damaging or wearing away the fabric.
    • Wash triacetate garments separate from other laundry to avoid getting hooked on to zippers or latches, which can cause pilling.
    • Avoid bleach, because it will wear away at the sheets. Fabric softener is not necessary since our sheets are already super soft!
